I believe that technology can support all human populations and enable the next phase in universal human progress. Systems must maximize human potential to be future proof.

Imagine A World Where Automation Supports Life

I believe that automation can support populations and enable the next phase of human progress. It must be owned by the people and serve them with resources. The more distributed the technology, the more intellectual diversity we have in its development.

CC0 technology and distributed ownership are an unassailable advantage in the coming future. Average people will be able to build their own versions of everyday technology and work with local contractors, creating local economic benefit. Concentrating ownership with automation is a bad alternative that isn't compatible with the future, as it decreases access to resources over time.

Automation was supposed to free us, yet now we work more than ever

You are wasting your abilities doing mundane tasks, we all are, and I'd like to help alleviate that. Technology must be used to help us find our maximum human potential, not to reduce individual opportunity.

I believe in something more for all people

People in the community models will be supported by technology that they own and operate as closely as possible. They will retire on physical resources, not speculation. They should be allowed to be where they want to be and do what they want to do without infringing on the freedom and safety of others.

The economics of food is why I put so much time into developing a scalable greenhouse model. In 2023, I tested a proprietary soil tackifier and a novel grow-through method that I've since developed into a 10'x100' production system. The proof of concept will be built in the Spring, with a plan to expand into 66 acres over the next few years.

It will support local food banks, hospitals, shelters and schools as well as providing infrastructure for Ontario fairs & festivals.

Income Integrated Housing allows us to build anywhere

The homes are the source of income, not as rent generators, but as producers of necessary resources.

In this model it becomes easier to own a home, and I believe that the ownership should be distributed as much as possible across many long term residents. My generation needs to build the homes we will live in. These new communities don't need to suffer through any of the caviats of reactionary design that exist in our current model. No more digging up the roads to get at infrastructure either. All of that goes into the tunnels, (URFT) which you can learn about on my website.

The economic limitations of building over previous work, custom work, and depending on local jobs don't need to apply to this community. My ideal unit is a 50'x100' plot with the same structures on every property. It represents enough space to raise a family and live long term. Large home and longhouse garage included. It can justify its existence anywhere that we can send water. It justifies the conversion of agricultural into residential, without losing agricultural capacity. Build it anywhere in the world. Imagine a community that stacks its income, agriculture, and residential into one zoning footprint. It can exist where there is favourable regulations to maximum expansion. It no longer matters where it is placed, so that should be used as the primary advantage over all other communities. Its not "Will that work here? ", the question is "Who wants this more than everyone else? ". We can all move there, but it will be far less competitive over an existing city. It won't have the tunnel systems that slash delivery costs and infrastructure management and will have to charge a higher tax. I believe that it is most competitive as a complete package, but you are welcome to pick details from my work. I'm going to block the patent with prior art though, so make it open. 80+ Designs on my website, hundreds more coming soon. When the gates open, how many people will want to live in homes that pay them instead of paying a mortgage or rent?

The tecnology we depend on for daily life must be owned by the people, use common materials and methods as much as possible, and be open to repair and modification. If it fails to do that, I doubt strongly that it will survive the future. Hyper intelligent systems will be able to iterate even faster than they already do, creating a prior art challenge for all future claiming of proprietary assets. They will be able to reverse-engineer the thought process behind the creation and iterate infinitely. Patenting may accelerate that process, putting the variants in the hands of an entity that may be unproductive with them by gatekeeping convergent evolution. This is why I believe that CC0 is the only truly safe IP dedication in a future that can itrate a million times a day. The alternative to CC0 is not distributed ownership of novel concepts, the grim alternative is one organization with advanced AI owning most of the IP in the world.

Build a Platform for All Humans to Stand On - Enable Universal Progress

CC0 technology and democratized production are an unassailable advantage in the coming future. Average people will be able to build their own versions or work with local contractors, creating local economic benefit.

"It is easy to recognize that all material, intellectual, and moral goods we receive from society have, over countless generations, originated from creative individuals. One person invented the use of fire, another the cultivation of crops, another the steam engine. Only the individual can think and thereby create new values for society, even establishing new moral norms by which the life of the community is shaped. Without creative, independently thinking, and judging personalities, the further development of society is as unthinkable as the development of the individual without the nourishing soil of the community. A healthy society is thus equally dependent on the independence of individuals as on their close social bonds. It has been rightly said that Greco-European-American culture in general, and particularly the cultural flowering of the Italian Renaissance, which replaced the stagnation of the Middle Ages in Europe, rested on the liberation and relative isolation of the individual."

Microgreens

The Engine to Power Ideas & Support People

A fully automated microgreens production system. Significantly cheaper to construct compared to LED based vertical farm operations, and a fraction of the operational costs. Optimized for sunlight and does not use plastic trays, so, its not only better for the environment - it needs less from the outside world.

Microgreens are just simply a plant that is grown for only the first 1-3 weeks. They contain a high concentration of nutrients and can convert a dry grain or seed based food supply into fast growing fresh produce. They will be incredibly important to scalable operations in remote climates as well as for providing low cost, high quality nutrients to the public abroad.

I intend to use this system to build up a basis of support and infrastructure in South-Western Ontario, where I have always lived. Ontario has the land, good people, and it needs this kind of solution. It will grow surplus produce as part of the marketing strategy & support food banks, shelters, schools, and hospitals in Ontario.

Pallet Optimized Freight Tunnels

Reduce Costs of City Infrastructure & Slash Delivery Costs Community Wide

The URFT system, or Underground Robotic Freight Tunnel system, is designed to optimize the movement of pallets through sub-terranean logistics networks. Orders of magnitude reduction in initial installation and on-going operational costs compared to any existing major tunnel projects including the Boring Company projects and the Ontario Line. With a major focus on efficiency, the URFT emphasizes standardized tunnel dimensions and transport mechanisms to ensure compatibility across different logistics operations. This system not only reduces construction costs compared to roads and alleviates the dependency on proprietary technologies but also significantly increases throughput. By adhering to these standards, the URFT system aims to streamline underground freight operations, offering a scalable solution adaptable to varying logistical needs on private and public land.

The tunnels are intended to house municipal infrastructure and act as an emergency shelter and alternate emergency route for the local government in the community model. Managing the logistics of an operation with an underground tunnel can also improve bio-security, physical security, and make transportation weather agnostic. No other form of transportation is completely unaffected by the weather and changing climate conditions. Tunnels are part of a future-proof operation and integral to my community model.

Festival Infrastructure

Supporting Ontario Fairs & Festivals with Facilitated Infrastructure

I was raised in the events industry, with over 15 years on the management team for London Ribfest, London Food Fest, and the London Children's Festival. This gave me an innate understanding of the operational needs of an event, which I intend to leverage into immersive advertising. I will support their cost of operation as a voluntary contributor under the conditions of land use and being the dominant brand of the event.

All I want is my brand on every universal human item in the event. I want all of the common infrastructure such as tables, barricades, benches, and anything else you have to touch or see to exist there. A childhood of observation in the industry under my dad taught me that the winners are the ones that engage the public and make an impression. Active engagement is a vital component with inflatables and activities in the long term plan.

I intend to do all that is in my power so that every person who arrives feels like they can stay. We will meet their needs and give them what they want, while keeping them informed about us.

Stair Climbing ROV - A rover that does your chores

Humanoids are Complicated and Expensive, Let's Be Realistic

The Stair Climbing Remote Operated Vehicle platform is envisioned as a modular, multi-purpose robot aimed at automating and augmenting labor-intensive tasks, reducing human effort, and leveraging advancements in AI and robotics for practical assistance. It combines traditional productivity tools with modern technology, such as FPV (First-Person View) control, multiple attachments, and a hybrid power system, to serve purposes like snow removal, material transport, lawn mowing, and future factory automation. It will be capable of driving inside the house and other tight spaces, up and down stairs, and over large obstacles. They will have a variable lift system for maintaining a level platform and improving reach. They will also be able to mount a 5 DOF arm using open source control technology that will likely never be available to humanoid models due to proprietary complication and obfuscation.

This platform is intended to be used for a large range of tasks, accepting of the minor reduction in task ability for an exchange of exponentially higher efficiency and adjustable torque that will always be stronger and more modular than humanoids simply due to form limitations. A driving frame is more stable, less complicated, and doesn't need to be proprietary.

Insects - Mealworms and Black Soldier Fly Larvae

This fully automated production system is essentially a modular CNC bin management system with some extra parts. It will allow the operators to input feed into a central point, with automatic feeding and checkups. The insects will be automatically harvested and packaged. It can reduce the exposure to pathogens by remaining closed for maximum biosecurity. They are almost a free feed source for other animals like chickens, cows, ducks, geese, sugar gliders, fish, lizards, etc. I have no intention of eating bugs or trying to get people to eat bugs, but I will make them safe for consumption for the sake of the animals. If you want to eat bugs, I support you. I would gladly sell them to you for that purpose but it just isn't something I'm comfortable with eating myself. Mealworms and BSFL are both harmless and resistant to pathogens. BSFL don't even have a mouth (adult BSFL do not eat). Mealworms are ideal for stable, long term systems with good access to grain and other dry food sources. They take about 3 months to reach maturity. If the feed sources are more moist like manure, then BSFL will be used. BSFL are much faster and will complete their life cycle in less than 3 weeks, but they require a lot more attention and consume more feed than mealworms. Both insects are important to completing the farm eco system.

CNC Bin Storage

This CNC system will be used to warehouse products from the other production systems and could be adapted to many different production systems. It uses an overhead rail system so it can be extended infinitely. It maintains a database of every item in its storage and will automatically retreive the items.

I intend to use CNC storage systems especially to reduce the cost of warehousing. Overhead CNC storage systems don't require the kind of aisle accessibility required in conventional warehouses. They don't require any internal management staff inside of the storage area, reducing loss of life and injury potential to near zero. They can be built in your basement, inside of the URFT tunnels, or at any scale of warehousing needed. The primary benefits are operational simplicity and unbridled expansion.
